Door control that fits how your business runs

Alarm.com for Business Access Control lets you grant and revoke access, review who entered when, and manage doors remotely — sized for small businesses and multi-door commercial sites.

Home Shield designs and installs these systems for Ohio commercial customers as a real offering alongside business alarms and cameras.

Alarm.com X1100 two-door access control controller

Hardware

Controllers, readers & door hardware

We specify Alarm.com controllers and readers for the job. Door locks (electric strikes, mag locks) and request-to-exit / door-position devices interface through controller relays and inputs — selected for your openings during the site review.

Alarm.com ADC-AC-X1100 door controller

X1100 & expansion

Alarm.com X1100 two-door controller with expansion modules (reader, input, output) for multi-door sites. LP1501 / LP1502 options when PoE or Mercury-style layouts fit better.

Alarm.com ET20 single-gang access control reader

ET10 / ET20 / ET25 readers

Alarm.com multi-technology readers (mullion, single-gang, keypad) for cards, fobs, and — with the Mobile Credentials service plan add-on — phones. Mobile credentials require Alarm.com readers.

Door hardware interface

Electric strikes, magnetic locks, REX buttons, and door-position sensors connect via controller relays and supervised inputs. We do not invent proprietary lock brands — hardware is chosen for each opening.

Capabilities

Features that matter day to day

Many capabilities depend on your Alarm.com service plan and installed equipment — we confirm what applies during the quote.

Badge arm / disarm

Disarm the intrusion system when authorized users badge in — helps reduce false alarms (plan/equipment dependent).

Video + access timeline

Tie door events to video when cameras are on the Alarm.com platform — find clips from the access history timeline.

Mobile credentials

Unlock with a smartphone when Mobile Credentials service is added and Alarm.com readers are installed.

Reports & schedules

Track employee and visitor access with reports and time-based permissions.

Managed Access

Optional dealer-managed access support per Alarm.com — customers can audit or revoke dealer access.
